The jointly developed sLH2 process of handling subcooled liquid hydrogen allows for a higher storage density, a greater range, more energy efficiency and faster refuelling times, superior on all metrics. The first public sLH2 pilot station has been opened in Wörth am Rhein, Germany, and is provided with liquid hydrogen by Linde.

Charging infrastructure is continually being built to support additional battery electric truck deployments. DTNA’s truck manufacturing plant in Santiago TMP, Monterrey, has been designated as a new site for the second commercial vehicle charging facility in Mexico, which will be equipped with a Detroit eFill charger, boasting a charging capacity of up to 120kW.

The company announced plans to electrify the HTM bus depot in the Hague, Netherlands. Construction has begun, with the depot expected to be up and running by Q3 2024. The supply agreement includes the chargers, installation, maintenance,  charging management software as well as the delivery of 95 Mercedes-Benz eCitaro city buses.

The initial phase will target hydrogen refuelling stations (under the TotalEnergies brand) in Belgium, France, the Netherlands and Germany over the next three years.

The project encompasses the deployment of several electric BYD yard tractors equipped with Wave wireless charging (inductive) technology set to be deployed at the customer's distribution centre in Salt Lake City in Q1 2024.

Beginning in 2025, Forvia will supply its Type IV hydrogen storage systems for medium-duty commercial trucks in the North American market.

Einride has partnered with American food producer Mars Inc, to provide a fleet of digitally optimised electric heavy-duty trucks across Mars’ European network by 2030.

Daimler Truck has signed an MOU with state-owned renewable energy company, Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company (Masdar), to explore the feasibility of importing liquified green hydrogen from Abu Dhabi (in the UAE) to Europe by 2030.  

This acquisition strengthens Hitachi’s (Hitachi Energy’s Grid-eMotion division**) position in the electric mobility sector by expanding its product portfolio and production capacity of its electric vehicle charging equipment.

With inputs such as organic residues from farmland, municipal waste, and industry, Blueflux Energy claims it can produce green hydrogen – together with synthesis gas, peat substitutes, and biogas – through a process which takes two hours.

At the show, Hyvia presented a Renault Master van with fuel cell electric driveline which was converted into a workshop vehicle by Kollé of Santeny.
