Einride has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the UAE Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure (MOEI) to deploy 8 electric vehicle charging stations (500 charging points) over 550 km, with 2,000 electric delivery vehicles (of which 200 will be autonomous) across Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Sharjah over the next five years.

The 50 ‘Nikola Tre FCEV’ trucks were ordered by AJR Trucking through Tom’s Truck Centers and are slated for delivery between the fourth quarter of 2023 and the first quarter of 2024.

EKA Mobility is the brand name of electric vehicle builder, Pinnacle Mobility Solutions Pvt Ltd, which has a technology collaboration with VDL.

Between 2023 and 2024, the Swiss-French manufacturer of building materials will receive an initial batch of 130 Volvo ‘FH’ and ‘FM’ battery electric trucks.

Duvenbeck will receive its first vehicles from MAN in 2024 and will take further deliveries through 2026, which will make it one of the first customers to acquire the new truck model.

The contract stipulates a firm order for 124 ‘LFSe+’ 40-foot buses, with the option to add a further 12 units over the next two years; TTC will also be able to order up to 405 more buses longer-term.

DAF has delivered 7 of a total of 14 fully electric 6x2 DAF CF waste collection trucks to operate in Eindhoven. These vehicles are equipped with fully electric VDL side loaders, which allows waste containers to be emptied easily into the body of the truck.

The order consists of Lightning ZEV3 vans (cargo and passenger) and ZEV4 shuttle buses. The delivery of the ZEV3 vans has begun with the rest of the order set for completion by the end of this year (2023).

The battery packs contain safety features including current overcharge protection, cell-level passive propagation resistance, and electrical disconnection at the individual cell wire bonds that satisfy international safety standards.

The company is set to supply its HVH emotors to a major Chinese OEM, with mass production of the automaker’s DHT and REEV vehicles scheduled to start in August 2023 in Tianjin.

Nova Bus has won a contract for up to 1,229 electric transit buses in the province of Québec – the LFSe+ transit 12m electric buses will be delivered over three years starting in 2025 and will feature BAE Systems’ GEN 3 modular electric propulsion system.

These buses are equipped with an Allison Torqmatic fully automatic transmission and a Cummins engine aimed at improving fuel efficiency, reducing emissions and lowering engine noise levels. This contributes to the significant growth in Allison’s export bus sales from China.
