CaetanoBus to supply 30 e.City Gold electric buses to the Portuguese public transport operator, Carris.

The company has announced it has successfully delivered 864 Mercedes-Benz buses to Lisbon, one of the largest orders in the company’s history, with the first batch of 111 deliveries shipped in 2021.

The shipments were made to the Adani-run ports of Ennore, Katupalli, Hazira and Mundra and has been widely publicised as the first sizeable batch order for heavy-duty electric trucks for port operation in India.

The company announced the order for 500 articulated E-WAY electric city buses to Flemish government-owned public transport operator De Lijn, over the next six years, with the first 65 to be dispatched by Q1 2024.

The truck is operating in the new districts of Nordhavn, Sydhavn and Amager and reportedly finishes with 40% of its battery capacity still left unused at the end of a typical day.

The company announced the order of 150 E-Way 12-m long fully electric city buses from Italian bus operator Busitalia, with the first batch of 18 being delivered in July 2023 and staggered throughout until 2025.

Deliveries of the buses - a mixture of diesel and CNG vehicles worth nearly EUR34.2m altogether - are slated to begin in the second half of this year and will run into the first half of 2024. 

The renewable energy firm sent Nikola-Iveco a Letter of Intent to acquire 100 'Tre' fuel-cell electric trucks in 2024 and 2025.

100 electric trucks - which enter production in the first half of 2024 - will be added to DB Schenker’s fleet by 2026, according to the agreement between the two companies.

The order is for two low-entry models from the Citea range of battery-electric city buses - 60 units of the LE-122 and 133 units of the LE-135 - which will serve in Zaanstreek-Waterland.
