Automaker looks to strengthen its lead in US hydrogen fuel cell truck business.

The ‘Super 11’ is 85 kilograms lighter than the ‘Super 13’ while delivering a 7% improvement in fuel efficiency compared to the 9-litre version.

Volvo has revealed that the new truck will be able to carry up to eight battery packs, providing up to 780 kilowatt hours of energy capacity.

The Farizon SV is priced from GBP 45,000 plus VAT, with order books now open and first deliveries expected later this year.

Following on from an agreement signed last year to develop a self-driving tractor, Kalmar and Forterra are now in the second round of tests of their jointly developed solution.

The hub will include 16 high-capacity charging bays with 12 ultra-fast chargers (supplied by Heliox), each delivering up to 360 kW, as well as four megawatt chargers funded through the eFREIGHT 2030 project aimed at decarbonising the heavy-duty transport sector in the UK.
