Total tractor sales slipped 2.2% during FY 2024/25 to register 67,574 units compared with 69,115 units in the previous year (FY2023/24).

During the Biden administration, new federal programmes followed preexisting state incentives in supporting the expansion of battery and hydrogen vehicles and infrastructure. Now, the Trump administration seeks to rollback the federal support and target certain state programmes which require federal approval to function. However, the State of Sustainable Fleets 2025 Market Brief predicts that electric vehicle sales will continue to grow in the U.S., in spite of the new administration’s removal of support.
