Jonathon Wood will take over from Jim Fier, who retires at the end of March this year after 36 years at the company.

The new R&D centre houses 900 staff and 28 test cells including a fuel cell lab, powertrain lab, transmission lab and H2 ICE test cell. The acquisition, first proposed earlier this year by Meritor, was completed for a sum of approximately EUR 190m.

The agreement is to collaborate to build internal combustion hydrogen-powered, fuel cell and battery electric commercial vehicles.
