As part of the City’s climate pledge to fully electrify its municipal transportation operations by 2040, Ford has signed a ten-year contract with the City to install and manage its Ford Pro EV chargers to power the Dallas light-duty municipal fleet.

Kempower has equipped one of Europe’s largest electric bus depots in Via Ferrarese, Bologna, with 20 DC bottom-up pantograph chargers. Significantly, this is the first bus depot in Italy to utilise charging equipment from Kempower.

The new charging services company will, according to Scania’s own description, “[specialise] in private and semi-public charging solutions”.

Available on ChargePoint’s Power Link 2000 stations, the system is capable of dispensing 1.2 megawatts (MW), enough electricity to power 1,000 homes. Furthermore, the system supports bidirectional charging capabilities, allowing customers increased flexibility.

BP Pulse will integrate its proprietary charging software (Omega) into EV Connect chargers to more efficiently manage duty cycles, charging times and energy management requirements which, in theory, should minimise vehicle charging times and reduce costs.

Fuso, Mitsubishi Motors and Mitsubishi Corporation to operate an online platform JV providing information and one-stop services relating to electric vehicles (EV). 

The agreement provides for a series of initiatives, including the construction of electric charging hubs with the Shell Recharge solution in eight Brazilian state capital cities over the next three years starting this year (2024).

The contract for 15 buses is worth over EUR10m and includes the provision of 15 stationary chargers at the depot and two pantograph stations located in the city.

With a charger capable of consistently delivering a megawatt of energy, a typical truck could be recharged from 20% to 80% capacity in half an hour, according to Siemens.

Expansion of a Madrid bus depot means that 260 e-buses can be charged simultaneously. Of the EUR 11.3 million spent, EUR 10.1 million in funding came from the European Union’s “NextGenerationEU” investment fund.

The TransMilenio system in the city of Bogotá, Colombia, claims to have an electric bus fleet of over 1,600 vehicles, the second largest in South America behind Santiago in Chile.
