The Colombian truck and bus market ended the first half of the year up 18.2% against the same period in 2021, according to figures released by ANDEMOS (National Association for Sustainable Mobility), based in Bogotá, Colombia.

Sales of commercial vehicles (trucks and buses) in Peru grew by 9.7% overall to total 9,263 units sold in the first six months of the year (January to June 2022) compared with 8,449 units in the same period in 2021.

Bus and coach domestic sales (>7.5t gvw) in the financial year ending March 2022 (FY2021-22) reported unit growth figures of 61.20% to 11,804 units, up from 7,322 units a year prior.

Sales of light-duty passenger vehicles (7.5 tons and below) rose in the FY2021-22 by 65.1% to 19,957 from 12,088 in the previous fiscal year.

Total tractor sales near enough doubled (up 99.8%) during financial year (FY) ending March 31, 2022 (FY2021-22) to register 27,735 units, compared with 13,880 units in the previous year (FY2020-21).

Sales of LCV trucks with a gvw ≤ 7.5t grew by 15.2% to 456,032 units in financial year ending March 31, 2022 (FY2021/22), from 395,783 units a year earlier.

Domestic sales of medium-and heavy-duty rigid trucks enjoyed growth of 44.1% to 201,038 units in financial year (FY) 2021-22, up from 139,486 units in the FY2020/21.

Sales in India of light-duty trucks (GVW ≤ 7.5t) grew by 19.0% to 148,890 units in Q4 of FY2021-22 (January to March 2022), up from 125,160 units in same period last year.

Domestic sales of buses (7.5t gvw and above) rose by 13.1% in Q4 of the financial year 2021-22 (January to March 2022) to register 5,364 units compared with 4,744 units in Q4 of last year.

Sales of light-duty buses (7.5t & below) surged by 48.8% to register 6.937 units in Q4 of FY2021-22 (January to March), up from 4,662 units in Q4 of FY2020-21.
