The reefer semi-trailer is equipped with a Carrier electric refrigeration system that is powered when the vehicle is stationary by a battery charged by an electric grid connection, and, when in motion, by regenerative braking energy produced by a Valx electric trailer axle, eliminating emissions from the refrigeration equipment.

An unnamed French customer has taken delivery of the first Type IV* hydrogen storage systems to roll off the production lines at Forvia’s new French factory in Allenjoie.

The project, known as ‘Mach2’, aims to integrate Level 4 autonomous Renault minibuses, without onboard supervision, into the city’s public transport network, which is operated by Keolis.

The T, T High, C, and K model ranges, as well as the upcoming battery electric ‘E-Tech’ T and C trucks, will come with new cab fittings and advanced driver assistance options compliant with upcoming regulations. 

The ‘Thermo HV’, which is designed specifically for electric vehicles, accommodates an input voltage between 600 and 875 volts and delivers a variable heat output of up to 12 kW.

The company aims to manufacture 100,000 hydrogen storage tanks a year, for the European market. Customers include Stellantis, Hyvia and MAN.

Continental has sold its Kaluga plant in Russia to S8 Capital, whilst Michelin has signed an agreement to sell two of its local companies, Michelin Russia Tyre Manufacturing Company and Camso CIS, to Power International Tires, one of Russia’s main tyre distributors.

The European programme has partly been funded by the Clean Hydrogen Partnership (EUR 30 million for 150 hydrogen fuel cell trucks) and the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) for the 8 hydrogen refuelling stations across France and the Netherlands.
