Scania has committed to supplying Weber this year with approximately 20,000 tonnes of used sand from its foundry in Södertälje, a waste byproduct from the casting of engine components which would ordinarily be sent to landfill.

The new plant will produce wiring systems for the CV industry in order to meet the growing demand in that segment of the business.
