The UK engineering consultancy is leading a consortium of partners including Meritor, PolyCharge America, and Danfoss Silicon Power to produce a U.S. Class 8 truck.

Proterra will supply a minimum of 600 vehicles, including Vicinity Lightning transit buses and Vicinity Motor's truck chassis platform, with batteries through 2024.
