German CV electrification conversion start-up, Clean Logistics SE in Hamburg has agreed terms to buy Dutch heavy-duty multi-axle truck conversion specialist and modifier, GINAF Trucks Netherlands B.V. from the management team at GINAF.

The Finnish firm is investing EUR1.9bn to expand production at its refinery from 1.4m to 2.7m tons per year, beginning in the first half of 2026.

The 26-tonne vehicle successfully traversed a 48-kilometre stretch between the city of Salzburg in the northern foothills of the Alps and the lookout point of Kaiser-Franz-Josefs-Höhe, becoming the very first fully-electric truck to do so.

The 200 MW electrolyser, called ‘Holland Hydrogen I’, will be constructed on the Tweede Maasvlakte in the port of Rotterdam and will produce up to 60,000 kg of renewable hydrogen per day.

The joint venture between Traton, Daimler Truck and Volvo has received the relevant regulatory approvals and will begin operations this year, led by Anja van Niersen.

Stellantis has already invested in expanding its capability to test all types of electric vehicle at the Orbassano Safety Center in Italy, and it is currently investing in its wind tunnel complex in Auburn Hills, Michigan.

The corporation has made a EUR50m equity investment into Vulcan Energy, which is currently operating a zero-emission project in the Upper Rhine Valley for the extraction of critical vehicle battery elements.

The two companies intend to collaborate long term on the integration of Aidrivers’ autonomous driving technology in Terberg’s terminal tractors, targeting the Asian and Middle Eastern markets. 

Eindhoven-based DAF Trucks N.V. has produced its 10,000th new generation truck. Starting in winter 2021, DAF’s new generation comprises the XF, XG, and XG+ models.

The Special Vehicles division of Terberg successfully tested an autonomous terminal tractor in mixed traffic operations at the Lineage Logistics terminal in Vlissingen, Netherlands, using technology supplied by EasyMile.

Stellantis will produce the new range of LCVs, including diesel and battery-electric drivelin options, at its Polish and Italian plants, and then supply them to TME.

Terberg Environmental has committed to working more closely with waste management firm Imdaad in expanding their respective businesses in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region.
