The planned factory will be built in the Rijnmond region of the Netherlands before 2026 and will allow the Dutch startup to scale up production of its fuel cell systems to 1,000 units annually.

Intellectual property, offices, and testing facilities based in Apeldoorn, Netherlands have now been transferred to ConMet, and former staff associated with the heavy-duty motor development have moved to ConMet as well.

The vehicle presented at the show was a first demonstrator, but Schaeffler and VDL have plans to produce more, with the aim of commencing customer pilots in Germany in 2025.

The new truck will go into production in Q4 2023 at the DAF factory in Eindhoven. The vehicles are equipped with a powerful e-motor offering nominal power in 120kW or 190kW ratings and a nominal torque rating of 950 and 1,850Nm respectively (2,600 and 3,500Nm peak performance).  

Siemens said that the acquisition, which would merge Heliox into its existing eMobility portfolio of charging products, will expand its coverage to DC fast chargers for trucks and buses.

The implied enterprise valuation of "QEV NV" is EUR209m, and approximately EUR23m in capital has been committed to the proposed transaction.

The company posted revenues of EUR 41.7 million in H1 2023. Ebusco’s earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation (EBITDA) was EUR - 43.5 million leading to an overall loss of EUR - 35.8 million.

Ebusco announced it has signed a framework agreement with Frankfurt Airport operator Fraport to deliver four twelve-metre-long Ebusco 3.0 buses, marking the first time an Ebusco vehicle will be used at an airport.

In the first half of 2023, Ebusco delivered fewer buses than expected and the penalties for delays impacted the financial performance of the company. This was due to supply chain disruptions and labour shortages.

Ebusco’s Management Board now consists of Peter Bijvelds (CEO), Jurjen Jongma (CFO) and Bob Fleuren (COO). 

Iveco has unveiled its new HD BEV (Heavy-Duty Battery Electric Vehicle) and HD FCEV (Heavy-Duty Fuel Cell Electric Vehicles) under the Iveco brand. 

The official handover will take place on September 1, 2023. Bosmans has been at DAF for 19 years and has held positions in operations, quality control and sales, including the key position of Director of Operations for PACCAR Financial Europe.
