Production is to take place at Temsa’s factory in Adana, with a prototype expected by next year and series production towards the end of 2025. Both engineering teams will be working closely together in order to meet these deadlines.

The weight of the new generation i6S Efficient has been reduced by 950 kgs and its emissions reduced by up to 13% compared with previous generations. The vehicle is available on any chassis on the market and in an integral version with two or three axles, from 10.78 to 15 metres, between 36 – 55 seats and DAF engines from 364 hp to 522 hp.

The new generation eCanter will initially be offered in 17 European markets (France, Spain, Portugal, Italy, the UK, Ireland, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Slovakia, Greece and Poland).

The company is set to supply 60 hydrogen-powered H2.City Gold buses to the Strasbourg public transport operator CTS (Compagnie des Transports Strasbourgeois) which will operate in the city of Strasbourg in France, making it the biggest hydrogen bus order in French history.

This order will help CaetanoBus scale up production of the H2 City Gold model with more than 115 units sold throughout Europe, including in Germany, France, Portugal, Denmark and now Spain.

CaetanoBus is set to supply German public transport operator Deutsche Bahn (DB), with 60 hydrogen-powered H2.City Gold buses, to be delivered in Q1 2024, following 71 European orders last year.

The company has announced it has successfully delivered 864 Mercedes-Benz buses to Lisbon, one of the largest orders in the company’s history, with the first batch of 111 deliveries shipped in 2021.

The Caetano UNVI C21 electric bus is a new low-floor 12-metre urban electric bus featuring an electric chassis (e.chassis) from Caetano capable of fitting a battery capacity of up to 420 kWh and UNVI’s steel structured single deck body meeting EC rollover regulation (R66).

According to a new agreement between CaetanoBus and Industria Italiana (IIA), the companies are to work together to construct hydrogen buses in Italy. The hydrogen FC buses will be co-branded with Toyota (the fuel cell supplier) with start of production at IIA's factory in Bologna, Italy, scheduled for Q4/2024.
